Global Warming Is Irreversible

For mother earth, getting warmer by a couple of degrees is probably no big deal, but for the species living on this planet (e.g. you and me) and the entire food chain, it is a big problem!

Unfortunately, according to a new study conducted by Susan Solomon, one of the world's top climate scientists, the effect of climate change is essentially irreversible (after pumping CO2 into the atmosphere for more than 100years of industrial evolution).

"People have imagined that if we stopped emitting carbon dioxide that the climate would go back to normal in 100 years or 200 years. What we're showing here is that's not right. It's essentially an irreversible change that will last for more than a thousand years," Solomon says.

This means all the polar bears will die, we will experience more hot summers and less rain drops, the sea level will rise, and all kinds of crap and terrible things that will happen as a chain effect...Put it another way - we are officially screwed.

Silicon Valley Arts Coalition online questionnaire

"Hold down the "Ctrl" key to select multiple response."

It's just quite dumb for a "Yes/No" question.
