Google Talk and Windows Live Messenger on BlackBerry Curve 8310

The conclusion of the subject title is - AT&T sucks.

After spending 20min useless time with an AT&T's customer service, I'd say I'm pretty unimpressed about the knowledge that person had.

As much as I like my BlackBerry Curve, I just cannot get Google Talk working on my phone.  RIM just released Windows Live Messenger support today.  I installed, and I got the same message as if I attempt to sign in Google Talk: "Service not enabled for this handheld".

Anyways, the customer service from AT&T danced around and gave me a million reasons why I needed to talk to Google and Microsoft for technical support.  Sometimes I wonder if these companies designed their customer service with the assumption that all customers are retarded.  While the Verizone and T-Mobile Curve users IM their friends on their handheld, then AT&T customers are stuck with a service-not-enabled device.  The person I talked to even send me an email to prove his ground, and the knowledge base article reads like this:

SYMPTOM:
Instant Messaging
Installing Google Talk

ADVISORY:Informational Only | Unsupported: This solution is intended for informational purposes only. AT&T provides network, billing, and provisioning support for the wireless voice and data networks. AT&T does not provide technical support for Google Talk. AT&T makes no warranties, express, implied or statutory, as to the content within this solution; such content is provided "as is" and with all faults, and your use of the content is at your own risk. Additional support for Google Talk must be directed to the Google Talk web site.

FIX:
AT&T does not provide technical support for Google Talk. Support for Google Talk can be found on the Google Talk web site.

I guess I just need to be cool and delete those applications like they never existed...
