An Open Letter to Steve Jobs from Canadians

The funny thing about Canada is although Canada is very close to the U.S. (and being the No.1 export partner), everything in Canada is jacked up on price (not to mention the 15% retail tax in Ontario).  Despite the weakening dollar, Canadians still pay a ridiculous price compared with Americans on merchandises.  And that includes the upcoming 3G iPhone.

Finally, Canadians get their iPhone, but it comes with a hefty price tage: a $75 monthly plan with a mandatory 3-year contract, 100 text messages, 300 weekday minutes, and a 750MB cap on 3G usage.

An angry Canadian wrote an open letter to Steve Jobs asking for help.  Will Jobs care?  Only time will tell.  To date, nearly 6,000 Canadian consumers have signed up for this letter.

Go Digg it!
