U-Haul Tank Filled With Water

With gasoline prices soar, more consumers are showing their greedy and bad behaviors when renting vehicles.  U-Haul is reporting that some customers used up the tank of gas and refill it with water.  The damage is at least $2000 per vehicle!

It feels funny to me just how stupid/dumb these customers are as their driver's license and credit card information is typically stored before U-Haul letting them drive the truck off the lot.  So what the hell were they thinking?!

Also, more people are experiencing troubles with gas thieves as people steal gas from parked vehicles.  This reminds me that many American vehicles do not have a gas-gate lock for cost reduction.  It might be a good cost reduction move when gas is less than $2 per gallon.  But desperation creates more crimes and now the American vehicles may scare the potential customers away without the gas-gate lock.
